IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0 (*1) is a corporate mobile communications solution with a communication profile that enables multi-carrier connection to NTT DoCoMo and KDDI networks. The profile is loaded on a single SIM card.
Not only does this allow you to switch the line to continue business operations if a communications failure occurs, but you can also choose the optimal line according to the signal reception at the location of use. Since both lines are MVNO lines provided by IIJ, you can use your capacity efficiently with no waste even when subscribed to two lines, achieving both redundancy and cost optimization.
(*1) Patent already obtained: Patent No. 7788587 "Communication Device, Program, and Method"

* To switch the line, a switching program must be implemented on the device side. Contact us for more information on the implementation method.
* LTE-M cannot be used with the KDDI LTE network.
Dual SIM is one effective method for line redundancy, but compatible end devices tend to be expensive. Using IIJ Multi-Profile SIM 2.0 makes redundancy possible at low cost even for conventional devices.
You can choose the optimal line from NTT DoCoMo or KDDI according to the signal reception at the location of use.
To achieve stable communications quality, we provide IIJ Mobile Access Service Type I (NTT DoCoMo) and IIJ Mobile Service Type K (KDDI) lines that connect directly to the domestic carrier networks with no roaming.
Closed mobile configurations can also be supported by linking to the IIJ Mobile Private Gateway Service.
Packet capacity is shared between the NTT DoCoMo and KDDI lines. You can make full use your capacity and use it cost-efficiently.
